[2/26/2025]— Mirabito Cares is proud to announce the launch of its March 2026 Round Up at the Register campaign, a month-long community giving initiative dedicated to improving access to pediatric healthcare for children and families across Mirabito’s service areas.
From March 2 through March 31, customers at all 112 Mirabito Convenience Store locations will be invited to round up their in-store purchases to the nearest dollar. Proceeds from the campaign will benefit Friends of Bassett supporting programs that provide critical pediatric medical and dental care – particularly in rural and underserved communities, and the Upstate Foundation supporting vital patient care, education and research at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital.

Funds directed to Friends of Bassett will support Bassett Healthcare Network’s School-Based Health Program, which brings preventive pediatric medical, dental, and mental health services directly into schools, removing barriers to care for children who may otherwise lack access. No family pays out-of-pocket for Bassett’s school-based health services, which currently provide care to more than 7,000 children across four counties and 17 school districts in Central New York.

Proceeds benefiting Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital, the region’s only Level 1 trauma center and burn center, will provide critical assistance to families with a sick or injured child, easing financial and emotional burdens so parents can focus on what
matters most — their child’s healing and recovery. “We are deeply grateful to Mirabito for choosing to support Bassett’s School-Based Health Program through Mirabito Cares,” says Jane Hamilton, RN, Practice Manager of Bassett Healthcare Network’s School-Based Health Program. “What started as one school-based health center more than 30 years ago has grown to be a critical source of care for thousands of children across 22 clinic sites today. The success of our program would not be possible without the generosity and shared commitment of community partners like Mirabito. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of children and families across our communities.”
“At Mirabito, our commitment to community goes beyond the services we provide – it’s about investing in the health and future of the families who rely on us,” said Marissa Sweeney, Senior Marketing Director. “By supporting pediatric healthcare through this Round Up campaign, we’re helping ensure children receive the care they need early, close to home, and when it matters most.”
To amplify the impact of customer generosity, Mirabito will conclude the campaign with a corporate contribution, helping extend the reach of funds raised and further support pediatric healthcare programs throughout the region.

The campaign is supported by a comprehensive awareness effort including in-store signage, pump optics, counter mats, social media outreach, and public relations, ensuring customers understand how a small act at the register can make a meaningful difference in a child’s life.

The March Round Up initiative reflects Mirabito Cares’ ongoing focus on youth and family assistance, medical research, and community-based healthcare support, reinforcing the company’s long-standing role as a trusted community partner.
